**Job Overview**
The role of the Lending Business Growth Manager involves leading a team to drive business excellence through effective business development techniques, ensuring quality and mutually beneficial strategic partnerships.
This position requires the team leader to ensure their team has the necessary skills, attributes, behaviours, and motivation to provide friendly, personal, and efficient service in meeting the full financial needs of customers regarding lending products and services.
Main responsibilities include generating high-quality home lending opportunities for lenders through the Workplace Banking Program. The manager will have extensive knowledge in lending and strong capabilities in stakeholder management and leadership.
The team will generate new business opportunities by supporting peers/lenders in establishing and managing corporate partnerships through the Workplace Banking Program.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Drive an operational culture of continuous improvement.
- From a retail perspective, the team also plays a key role in generating visibility for the brand in the marketplace.
- Coach and lead the team to achieve success and set team and individual goals
- Establish trustworthy relationships and build rapport with corporate partners for business opportunities
The Lending Business Growth Manager will deliver on the following key areas:
- **Critical Stakeholder Management**by developing and maintaining relationships with lenders and their managers within institutional banking, corporate banking, private, premier, mobile, business banking and branch customer segments. Displaying behaviours that encourage transparent and productive working relationships and a high-performance culture.
- **Business Strategy**by identifying and implementing areas of growth and improvement within your portfolio. Contribute to the annual strategic planning process for your state and review business performance and identify value creation opportunities for not only your portfolio but your team.
- **Risk Management**by assessing and identifying potential risks that may hinder the reputation, safety, security, and financial prosperity of the bank. Adhere to compliance and risk standards of the Home Loan Referral Source and Wellbeing Programs.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, people management skills, preferably in sales and/or lending environment.
- Proven success in achieving business sales and service results.
- Detailed technical understanding of lending products, processes, and systems.
- Ability to source, establish and manage relationships with external business partners to generate high volumes of business outcomes.
- Expertise in establishing and maintaining relationships with strategic business partners and developing mutually beneficial relationships.
- Strong lending background
- Ability to create and design new content for stakeholders and customers.
- Relevant financial services experience or a business-related degree (economics, marketing, finance, business).
- Capability and experience in business development roles.
