Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Terminal Operations Manager to join our team.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to utilize your experience in Oil and Gas facilities such as refinery, terminal, and gas plant or offshore facilities.

The Position

As the Terminal Operations Manager, you will manage all aspects of the supply chain process relating to Terminal Operations to achieve safe, reliable & cost-effective operations of all product movements within the Birkenhead Terminal.

You will commit to achieving compliance with all regulatory requirements and license conditions and maintain effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of product inventory to ensure supply demands met
  • Manage, plan & coordinate routine operational activities
  • Lead & manage shift team to ensure the maintenance plans, care routines & conditioning monitoring assessments are successfully executed
  • Plan & coordinate contractor labour resource requirements for routine operational activities
  • Participate in the site Permit to Work System either as a Permit Writer, Site Authority, or in a support capacity depending on business requirements.
  • Identify hazards, incidents and near misses for reporting in a timely manner.
  • Participate in process and personal safety stewardship verifications
Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of operational, safety, controls and emergency procedures
  • Thorough knowledge & ability to conduct product sampling and testing
  • Understanding of terminal process operations and of the supply chain operation and timings
  • Proven leadership & people management skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong computer literacy, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to liaise and coordinate with various stakeholders
