Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced locomotive shunt driver to join our team in the yard precinct.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan the efficient assembly and dismantling of trains within the terminal.
  • Operate locomotives, complete shunting activities, and adhere to safe working principles and procedures.
  • Undertake train examinations and brake testing activities.
Requirements:
  • A heavy forklift license is mandatory.
  • Relevant locomotive and shunt driver qualifications are required.
  • A full Driver's license is necessary.
  • General computer proficiency is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in train inspection, ground shunt, and track side safety would be beneficial.
  • Shunt driver qualifications are preferred.
  • Previous experience in logistics, transport, or the rail industry is advantageous.
