Transportation Planner Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planner to join our team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking site inspections and gathering information on road environments, traffic, and safety.

Your responsibilities will include preparing transportation design plans, concept layouts, swept path assessments, line marking, signage, and traffic signal design. You will also design various projects such as car parks, site access roads, internal road networks, intersections, loading docks, active travel infrastructure, public transport facilities, local area traffic management, and construction traffic management.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of relevant design standards and requirements for horizontal alignments. You must also have excellent communication skills to present transportation issues and design outcomes to various audiences.

Requirements
  • Degree in civil engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years' experience in transportation planning and design or equivalent
  • Familiarity with CAD software like Microstation
  • Experience in a consulting environment or government agency
  • Good knowledge of best practices, guidelines, trends, and legislation in transportation planning
