About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Energy Solutions team at Shell Energy. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our sales team with on-site inspections, assessing feasibility, and proposing optimised technical solutions and pricing stacks for BESS and Solar projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team with on-site inspections to assess feasibility and propose optimised technical solutions and pricing stacks for BESS and Solar projects.
  • Interface and collaborate with our engineering and project teams to craft value engineered solutions that meet the unique requirements and challenges of each customer.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts within "Bid Teams" to orchestrate high quality proposals and supporting documentation that explain the technical (BESS and Solar) value proposition to the customer.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Previous involvement in construction, solution design, engineering, plant procurement, or asset management within the energy efficiency, renewables, or storage industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Must have a good understanding of reading electrical drawings and be familiarity with Australian Standards 5139, 3000, 4777, 5033.
  • Solar Design: Experience in developing proposal designs for rooftop and/or ground mount solar systems using Opensolar, and/or Helioscope.
  • Project Feasibility: Understand what makes a project feasible and quickly identify risks and mitigation measures.
  • Solution Proposals: Evaluate customer needs, propose technically sound and cost-effective solutions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to gain buy-in from both customers and internal teams.
  • Estimating: Experience developing project cost estimates and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Project Management: Excel in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
