About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our Dams team in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality geotechnical design and analysis services for water dams, retarding basins, and service basins.

With a strong background in geotechnical engineering and a passion for innovation, you will work closely with our clients to develop and implement effective solutions that meet their needs. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safety and integrity of our clients' assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct geotechnical analysis and design of water dams, retarding basins, and service basins
  • Inspect and investigate existing dams to assess their condition and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement geotechnical investigation programs to characterize foundation conditions and engineering properties of foundation and construction materials
  • Provide construction support services, including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data, and construction reporting
  • Prepare tenders and proposals, and provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in geotechnical design, including the preparation of design reports, design drawings, and specifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline
