Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer or Principal Water Resources Engineer to join our Water Resources Team in South East Queensland (SEQ). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering flood risk management, flood modelling, and hydrology/hydraulic assessment support to our clients.
About the Role
- Lead and deliver flood risk management, flood modelling, and hydrology/hydraulic assessment support to clients
- Check and review project outputs to ensure technical excellence
- Prepare tenders and proposals to secure new business opportunities
- Collaborate with a large number of professionals in a range of geographies and build relationships with internal and external clients across multiple sectors
- Coach junior professionals and foster the growth and development of the team
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering and RPEQ/CPEng (highly regarded)
- Strong client focus, high level of motivation, and dedication, with the ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Experience or interest in project management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and communicate with various stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience with water resource modelling and design packages such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), RORB, XPRAFTS, URBS, 12d, MUSIC, GoldSim, IQQM, Source, etc.
- Good working knowledge of ARR 2019, TMR Drainage Manual, and QUDM
