Opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to contribute to our team of experts in physical oceanography and related fields.

The successful applicant will have a PhD or equivalent experience in physical oceanography. They will be responsible for developing data products, data processing, quality control, data dissemination, and real-time display.

Key qualifications include:

  • Analysis and critical assessment of oceanographic data
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab or Python, and NetCDF; and experience working in a Linux environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated capability in writing scientific and technical reports
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

The role involves working with large geophysical datasets and requires excellent programming abilities. The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic team conducting research focused on the East Australian Current and the dynamics of the continental shelf circulation along the coast of SE Australia.
