Truck Mechanic Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Gladstone. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse fleet of small to medium trucks, as well as expand your skillset across heavy earthmoving equipment, auxiliary plant, and light vehicles.

Maintaining a strong safety focus is crucial in this role, and you will work autonomously with self-motivation. Our workshop team values your skills and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of small to medium trucks.
  • Identification and communication of defects with confidence and attention to detail.
  • Autonomous work with a strong safety focus.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Heavy Diesel trade certificate (essential).
  • Current C class Queensland licence (minimum); HR Licence or above desirable.
  • Knowledge with Mack, Isuzu, Hino trucks, floats, and trailers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Proven track record of accurate, high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to identify defects and communicate them effectively.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Strong safety focus.
  • Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical including functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
