Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Content Strategist to join our team and contribute to the growth of our Australian site with their personal finance expertise and writing skills.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our content strategy and developing high-quality articles that resonate with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with our quarterly content plan and targets our Australian audience.
  • Create engaging and informative articles on personal finance topics, collaborating with our Australian editor and SEO team.
  • Pitch and write original financial news stories for our site, covering topics like RBA rate rises and superannuation explainers.
  • Work with contributors to advise on stories and briefs, ensuring seamless content creation.
  • Develop explanatory content, how-tos, roundups, best-ofs, and product reviews in collaboration with our SEO and data teams.
  • Syndicate content from overseas sites and adapt stories for an Australian audience.
  • Collaborate with our global editorial team to create best practices worldwide and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Work closely with our compliance team to ensure adherence to ASIC financial advice regulations.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital media, preferably with a background in journalism.
  • Strong understanding of Australian personal finance and a passion for consumer journalism.
  • Familiarity with key financial pillars, including superannuation, insurance, mortgages, credit cards, and utilities.
  • Experience with SEO best practices or a willingness to learn.
  • A self-starter who is organized and works well with minimal supervision.
  • Nimble and open to quick changes in strategy.
  • Experience in a digital news environment is highly valued.
