Role Overview
The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia is seeking experienced registered Psychologists and qualified Social Workers to provide high-quality family assessment reports for Court. As a Regulation 7 Family Consultant, you will play a critical role in promoting the best interests of children in family law proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of adults and children to identify risk factors and family dynamics relevant to the issues in dispute.
- Prepare and submit formal reports to the Court to assist in making decisions about parenting arrangements.
- Attend Court hearings to provide evidence under cross-examination in relation to the reports.
Requirements
- Registered Psychologist or eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience working with children and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in writing assessment reports.
- Access to appropriate consulting rooms.
What We Offer
As a Regulation 7 Family Consultant, you will be appointed pursuant to Regulation 7 of the Family Law Regulations 1984 (Cth) and will be paid for your services in accordance with a set schedule of fees.
