About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Data Specialist to join our team at the Foundation Geospatial Branch. As an APS 5 Geospatial Analyst, you will play a critical role in collecting, producing, managing, optimising and disseminating authoritative geospatial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement geospatial data models, workflows, and processes to support business operations
  • Develop expertise in data management and manipulation in relation to use and maintenance of geospatial datasets
  • Communicate with stakeholders, informing them of changes to geospatial data, products and services
  • Work collaboratively with local, national and international stakeholders on matters of strategic national and Defence interest
  • Prioritise your workload and monitor task progress against performance expectations to meet business objectives
  • Adhere to quality systems, standards and legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks

Requirements
  • Passion for geospatial data and its application
  • Experience using Geospatial Information Systems such as the Esri ArcGIS Suite or SOCET GXP
  • Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to influence through concise written/verbal communication
  • Ability to hold and maintain a Positive Vetting Level security clearance
