**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Leading the kitchen team and overseeing food preparation and presentation
  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including children's meals and special dietary requirements
  • Monitoring food quality, safety, and hygiene standards, and taking corrective action as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Coordinating inventory management, ordering supplies, and monitoring kitchen budgets
  • Training and developing new staff members, providing guidance and support

**Requirements:**

  • Applicant must hold an AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
  • At least 2 years' experience working as a chef in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitasking and handling stress effectively
  • Capacity to commit to occasional extended working hours, as required

**What We Offer:**

A competitive salary package, estimated around $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
