As a pioneering professional in workplace wellbeing, this key leadership role demands a proactive approach to fostering organisational health and resilience. We are seeking an experienced Health and Wellbeing Lead to join our team and deliver impactful initiatives that positively shape our culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement holistic wellbeing strategies, leveraging campaigns, workshops, and coaching to enhance individual and collective resilience.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders and teams to identify, assess, and address psychosocial hazards, ensuring seamless integration with broader health and safety objectives.
  • Bring cutting-edge knowledge and best practices to all wellbeing and mental health programs, ensuring compliance with Australia's OHS requirements.
Critical Incident Response and Support
  • Establish and oversee the Airport's critical incident response framework, providing guidance and coordination of support for employees affected by critical or traumatic workplace events.
  • Drive the continuous improvement and awareness of the Employee Assistance Program across the business, promoting employee engagement and well-being.
  • Design resources and training to empower colleagues in recognising and responding to mental health concerns, building confidence in their ability to provide supportive environments.
Injury Management and Return to Work Support
  • Lead the Airport's Return to Work program, ensuring early intervention and safe, supported return to work for work-related and non-work-related conditions.
  • Collaborate with Safety, People & Culture, and insurers to ensure alignment between processes and Workers Compensation legislation, as well as Airport procedures.
  • Monitor workers compensation trends and support initiatives that reduce premium impacts and injury rates, driving a culture of safety and responsibility.
Building a Positive Health and Safety Culture
  • Partner with Learning & Capability to develop and deliver training and materials that build awareness of psychosocial risk, mental health, and wellbeing across the organisation.
  • Oversee the Airport's Mental Health First Aid and First Aid programs, ensuring current certifications and compliance with workplace codes of practice.
  • Develop and maintain wellbeing policies, resources, and communications aligned with our Safety Management System, promoting a culture of openness and transparency.
Organisational Development and Culture
  • Contribute to broader culture, change, and capability initiatives, ensuring programs build trust, engagement, and inclusion.
  • Support leaders with coaching and team development to build psychological safety, trust, and resilience, driving a positive organisational culture.
  • Analyse wellbeing and safety data to inform meaningful actions that strengthen our culture and promote a healthy, thriving workplace.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating workplace wellbeing and mental health programs, as well as strong working knowledge of psychosocial risk management, workplace mental health, and critical incident response.
