This role is pivotal in establishing and maturing our product division's risk management framework. As a key leader, you will act as the risk enabler for our 'first line of defence', leading a team of professionals in supporting risk identification, assessment, control, monitoring, and reporting. The team will manage product-related customer remediations and ensure adherence to our risk appetite, policies, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion and embed the Three Lines of Defence model, leading risk assessments and governance processes.

- Guide incident and issue management, supporting effective ownership and resolution.
- Support control effectiveness monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years' senior leadership experience in financial services, preferably general insurance.
- Leadership experience of 4-5+ years in risk management within a comparable environment.
- Ability to lead, engage, and develop teams, with understanding of regulatory and industry trends in Australia.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to manage competing priorities autonomously.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
