**About the role**
At Youi, we don't believe in conforming to the status quo. We're not your typical insurance company - and that goes for our approach to both selling insurance and hiring our team. With over 1,800 employees, we have ambitious goals to keep growing and continue delivering awesome insurance solutions across new products and distribution channels. We pride ourselves on our diversity and individuality, both among our employees and the customers we serve. We believe that it is the unique combination of skills, perspectives, and experiences of our people that makes us truly stand out. Our company values reflect this - we are a dynamic, human-focused, honest, and passionate team who is dedicated to providing awesome service to our customers. We recognise and value the contributions of each team member to our culture and success. At Youi, we're not afraid to be different, and we're looking for people who share our values and want to be part of a team that is making a difference in the insurance industry.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk Manager to join the Line 2 Risk Team at Youi within Risk, Legal and Compliance (RLC). The purpose of the role is to further uplift and embed risk management processes and work with the Line 1 Risk teams to fully implement and mature our operating model for Risk and establish a Business-as-usual operating rhythm. You will work across all of the key risk processes including (but not limited to) Risk Framework Implementation, Risk and Control Self-Assessments, Incident and Issues Management, Risk in Change, Third Party Management, Business Resilience and Risk Reporting.
This role would suit someone who is based on the Sunshine Coast or surrounding regions as there will be a requirement of 1 day per week from our office in Sippy Downs.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Undertake Line 2 oversight by partnering with the Line 1 Risk Teams in accordance with the roles and responsibilities under Youi's Operating Model for Risk.
- Provide risk oversight and advice to the Line 1 Risk Teams across the business.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to further develop and mature Youi's Risk Management Framework including supporting policies, standards, and procedures.
- Perform risk profiling and analysis and work with the Line 1 Risk Teams to act where required.
- Contribute to risk reporting and initiatives across the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be both "hands on" and strategic across multiple aspects of risk management.
**About You**
- Significant experience in Risk, Compliance, Finance or Assurance roles, preferably within Financial Services.
- Strong knowledge of non-financial risk management including operational risk, regulatory risk, compliance, and conduct risk.
- An understanding of key risk management processes.
- Adaptability, ability to work autonomously, critical thinker, problem solver and a default style to drive outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline preferred (i.e., legal, compliance, risk, or business)
**The Youi Difference**
We're well known for having one of the best company cultures in Australia and this extends into the Risk team, how we interact with each other, and with the broader business. Whether it's chatting to our CEO in the elevator (who favours shorts and t-shirt) or sharing your favourite camping spots with a colleague whilst waiting for your haircut or massage at The Hub at HQ, everyone is warm, friendly, and approachable and you'll love getting to know the talented people that call Youi home. We live and breathe our Human value and embrace flexible working. We have team members who work remotely and on different schedules, designed to suit their needs with a focus on employee wellbeing. We believe when you're feeling your best, you'll do your best work and that means awesome outcomes for our customers and our community.
