Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in the design, integration, and testing of our autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our projects and driving innovation in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement AUV design and integration strategies
  • Prepare for field deployments by sourcing and kitting test and support equipment
  • Coordinate and support deployment logistics, including launch and recovery evolutions
  • Conduct daily AUV inspections and system checks before and after operations
  • Execute day-to-day test operations for AUVs, following approved test procedures
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades of AUVs in the field
  • Author detailed daily operations and test reports
  • Support software UI design for AUV systems
  • Provide constructive feedback to design and manufacturing teams
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in production-oriented robotics and electro-mechanical technician fields
  • Maritime trade background or subsea experience is desirable
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation, including mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams
  • Experience performing functional checkouts and tests, and diagnosing issues discovered during these processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance
