Job Title: Field Technician

At Careerlink People Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of value and excellence in field and sampling services to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate and timely sampling and field analyses, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
  • Ensure timely response to operational enquiries and incidents.
  • Provide results in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Implement directives set by leaders and complete specific tasks allocated.
  • Participate in sample route rotation and multi-skilling.
  • Ensure sampling services are efficiently and effectively performed.
  • Contribute to reviewing sampling routes and sampling methods performed.
  • Make recommendations to the Senior Field Technician and Supervisor, implementing changes as directed.
  • Develop skills and improve competency in an increasing range of new sampling and testing techniques.
  • Participate in internal audits, proficiency testing, and specific programs.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Experience in laboratory information management systems.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS practices and requirements for field and laboratory.
  • Sound knowledge of the principles of water sampling techniques and instrumentation.
  • Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of modern scientific analytical instruments desirable.
  • Technical understanding of water industry field-related services desirable.
  • Sound oral and written communication skills, transferring technical information to other technicians.
  • Effectively prioritizing tasks, with highly effective time management to meet deadlines.
