Senior Financial Analyst Position

Overview

We seek an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in our organization's finance department.

As a responsible producer of rare earth materials, we use our products in innovative applications, including electronics and renewable energy solutions.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide strategic financial guidance, prepare reports, analyze data, forecast financial information, and deliver Performance Management reporting while collaborating closely with stakeholders.

You will also be accountable for managerial reporting, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities related to Finance for Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and budgeting process
  • Ensure operations plan and budget are integrated and aligned with business objectives
  • Provide financial insights and advice on financial impact
  • Regularly review and update full-year forecast
  • Deliver monthly cost performance reports (including variance analysis)
  • Monitor and manage operations cost management activities
  • Manage stakeholder requirements, provide insightful reports/analysis for informed decision making
  • Identify trends in performance and implement actions to improve performance in consultation with the Operations Team
  • Review and identify opportunities for optimization of management reporting processes (time, cost, and risk) while ensuring accuracy and integrity of information

Requirements

  • Relevant experience across the full range of financial accounting activities—financial systems, internal controls, and process development in a commercial environment
  • Team player with analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Pronto or SAP
  • Experience within the Resources sector (desirable)
