Senior Business Analyst Role Overview

The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting business decision-making by providing meaningful insights and robust analysis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes; challenge assumptions and provide insight on performance drivers.
  • Prepare monthly reports on financial performance with clear commentary, aligning with business priorities.
  • Deliver in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support strategic business decisions and improvement initiatives through modelling, benchmarking, and competitor analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and embed continuous improvement in workflows and systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders to present clear financial insights, support performance reviews, and build strong relationships across teams.
About You

You have strong commercial acumen with experience supporting operational teams through data and insights. You enjoy solving complex problems, working with advanced data, and influencing decision-making.

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting within complex organisations.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with experience using enterprise finance systems and tools.
  • Ability to drive budgeting and planning processes to completion within deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to improve accuracy and value creation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • High emotional intelligence and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
