House Manager Job Description

As a key member of our residential homes team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective functioning of these settings. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance and support to Team Leaders to deliver high-quality care to young people.
  • Setting standards, reinforcing expectations, and providing feedback to Team Leaders.

You will uphold and model the values and codes of conduct that guide our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant NSW legislations governing out-of-home care service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and monitoring approved therapeutic supports in the home.
  • Collaborating with Operations Managers to achieve agreed goals and outcomes for each child or young person.
  • Scheduling, actioning, and reviewing daily requirements for each child and young person.
  • Liaising with Senior Managers to oversee budgets and financial management for each house.
  • Providing after-hours support and escalating critical incidents to Senior Managers as required.
  • Attending relevant training and development to enhance their role.

This is a permanent position, reporting to the Operations Manager. A Diploma in Youth Work/Community Services or other relevant tertiary qualification and experience is required. The successful candidate must be able to commute or relocate to South West Sydney, NSW.
