
Energy Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Key Energy Systems Professional to contribute to the development of resilient and efficient energy systems.
You will lead modelling and simulation studies of Australia's current and next-generation electricity generation, transmission, and distribution systems. This includes benchmarking data models and deploying techniques in real-world, large-scale deployments.
As a specialist in electrical power systems, you will apply your expertise to solve complex problems within a discipline or across a diverse range of projects. Participating in project scoping and planning, making significant contributions to the research or technological direction, and advising on the level and type of services that are provided.
Additional responsibilities may include leading research projects, negotiating and managing resources, and providing supervision to technical staff and students.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead modelling and simulation studies of electricity systems
- Develop approaches and techniques for solving grid challenges associated with renewable energy integration
- Apply specialist expertise to solve complex problems
- Participate in project scoping and planning
- A relevant tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
- Industry experience in electrical generation/distribution/transmission system modelling, planning, optimisation, or control
- Experience with power systems modelling tools and programming/analysis tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
