About the Role

Located in the northern suburbs of Perth, our clients are a rapidly growing and highly successful company within the construction, mining services, and rail industries.

Due to growth, the CFO wishes to add to the finance team with a project accountant position that will be a FIFO role from Perth to Karratha.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of financial records for ongoing projects
  • Preparation of regular financial reports for management and the board (weekly AR, AP, and cash flow forecast reports)
  • Main point of contact with external accountants
  • Delivery of month-end accounts and monthly management report preparation
  • Taxation and compliance matters
  • Preparation of end-of-financial-year reports and audit reviews
  • Main point of contact for company banking relationships
  • Budgets for major projects

This is a site-based FIFO role 2/1 from Perth.

We require an experienced candidate with:

  • 3+ years experience in Australia as a management, financial, or project accountant
  • Ideal CA/CPA part or fully qualified
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Long-term position preference
  • Experience with MYOB or XERO software
  • Leadership skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Permanent right to work in Australia
  • Previous experience in construction, mining, or rail industries highly regarded
