Lead ECC Veterinarian Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned veterinary professional to oversee our Emergency and Critical Care department.


About the Role

This pivotal position demands exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and effective communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical oversight across diverse shifts to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Establishing evidence-based practices within the department.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment through open communication with team members.
  • Serving as a role model and promoting high standards within the team.
  • Collaborating with other department heads to develop strategic growth initiatives.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to support team development.
  • Identifying and leveraging complementary skills within the team to enhance overall performance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A veterinary degree recognized by the New South Wales registration authority.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a 24/7 emergency and specialty care hospital.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead teams and drive results.
  • Strategic thinking to refine and grow services.
  • Management training would be beneficial.
  • A commitment to teamwork, effective communication, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
  • Dedication to delivering compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.
