Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Accounts Payable function at a dynamic construction company. As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for managing full-function accounts payable, including invoice processing, supplier payments, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the AP function, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise and mentor 2 AP staff members to achieve success.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, project managers, vendors, and site personnel across six construction sites.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry and reporting using Jobpac.
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare monthly AP reports, Construction Spend reports, WIP adjustments, and payment summaries.
  • Identify and implement improvements to AP processes and systems.
About You
  • Proven experience in managing AP in the construction industry is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Jobpac or similar construction ERP systems is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage a small team are necessary.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical/reporting skills are required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Willingness to work 5 days in-office is expected.
  • Full working rights in Australia are required.
