A Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in design, drafting, and manufacturing is required to join our team. You will work on cutting-edge projects, supporting R&D activities through mechanical engineering design and drafting.

  • Supporting the development of new technologies by creating detailed prototypes and experimental systems.
  • Collaborating closely with engineers, draftspeople, technicians, and research teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential in this role, as you will be working closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment between project goals and deliverables.

You will have the opportunity to see designs through from concept to prototype to testing, and get direct access to workshops, facilities, and technical staff.

Our team requires a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and manufacture of critical components for prototype and experimental systems.

The ideal candidate will have a degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field), proficient in multiple CAD packages (NX highly desirable) and skilled in producing detailed manufacturing drawings.

They will also be capable of performing finite element analysis (FEA) and structural analysis, comfortable working onsite in a collaborative, research-heavy defence environment and a strong communicator who can challenge ideas constructively and support the team's vision.
