About the Role

We are seeking an undergraduate Business in Sales or Marketing student to join our Aftermarket sales team as a Sales Development Intern. This 13-month full-time internship will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience in sales and business development, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to win and maintain new and existing business.

Responsibilities

  • Support our after-market sales team on customer visits.
  • Prepare presentations for the wider aftermarket team.
  • Follow up sales leads and understand our focus.
  • Research and understand our customer segments, including on-highway, Power Generation, Mining, and marine.
  • Learn how to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to win and maintain new and existing business.
  • Better understand sales strategies and how to uncover sales growth opportunities.
  • Create effective customer travel call plans and meaningful CRM entries.
  • Prepare for customer face-to-face, phone call, and virtual meetings.
  • Understand sales reports and prepare effective presentations.

Qualifications

  • Currently studying a Degree in Business or other relevant discipline, ideally at an undergraduate level.
  • Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of January 2025.
  • Be available for the full 13 months and willing to defer your studies for that duration.

Requirements

  • Understanding and drive for sales and business development.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer literacy and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, a team work ethic, and the ability to think and operate autonomously and independently when required.
