Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care professional to join our team in Frankston Hospital's Intensive Care Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our unit.
The successful candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in contemporary medical and evidence-based practice. They will be able to work effectively as an inter-disciplinary team member and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Our ICU is a 13-bed level III facility accredited by the College of Intensive Care Medicine. We provide a broad range of critical care services, including mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation, fibreoptic bronchoscopy, and percutaneous tracheostomy. Our trainees have the opportunity to gain cardiac and neurosurgical experience through rotations at Peninsula Private Hospital ICU.
In this role, you will work closely with our experienced intensivists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes. You will also contribute to the education and training of junior staff members and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- Mbbs or equivalent qualification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills in critical care medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
