Job Overview:

This role is a senior leadership position within the digital communications and media function, responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive engagement, strengthen brand presence, and protect reputation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in media relations, social media, and content development, with experience managing reputational risks proactively and a proven ability to use analytics to measure and improve performance.

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans aligned with organisational priorities
  • Lead the creation of engaging content across multiple platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters
  • Manage proactive and reactive media relations, including press releases and briefings
  • Analyse digital performance metrics and provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making
About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional who can lead our digital communications and media function. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering results through creative, strategic communications, and be able to manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience in a senior communications or media role, with a focus on digital communications
  • Strong understanding of media relations, social media, and content development
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytics to measure and improve performance
  • Proven people leadership experience – ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a busy environment
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in digital communications, journalism, or a related field
  • 5–7 years' experience in a senior communications or media role
