Our company seeks a senior associate geotechnical engineer to lead and oversee geotechnical projects. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

This role requires a deep understanding of geotechnical principles and the ability to plan, supervise, and execute site investigations, including borehole drilling, in-situ testing, sampling, and monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have experience in geotechnical analysis, design of foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures, and be proficient in software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Slope/W, Settle3D, LPILE, gINT, or equivalent.

We are looking for a self-motivated and organized individual who can work effectively in a team environment and maintain high-quality technical reports and presentations.

A bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology is required, with a master's degree preferred. Chartered or Professional Engineer status is highly desirable.

Approximately 5-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience is required, ideally in consulting, infrastructure, or construction projects.

Demonstrated expertise in ground investigation, geotechnical analysis, and design of foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures is essential.

Experience in soft-soil investigation and design for conditions familiar to South-East Queensland are highly desirable. Alternately, experience in rock investigation and logging for deep infrastructure for mining and hydro-power industries is also valuable.

Awareness and some growing experience in geotechnical software is necessary. Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills are required.

Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and teams is essential. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
