Emergency Response Officer - Contract Position

An exciting career opportunity exists for an experienced Emergency Response Officer to join our operations team in Western Australia.

We are a leading mining company with multiple operations throughout the state, dedicated to sustainable production and managing every aspect of the process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure emergency response equipment is properly maintained and assist in developing emergency management plans and conducting inspections of fixed fire systems.
  • Act as on-scene commander for level 1 incidents, provide incident updates, ensure scene security, and conduct operational debriefs.
  • Coordinate and participate in emergency response exercises and drills, and conduct site-specific emergency response training for all work groups and on-site teams.
  • Conduct Alcohol and Other Drug testing and transfer patients (on/off site) to ensure correct levels of care.
  • Manage site access systems, monitor security systems, and conduct patrols and inspections.
Requirements:
  • Certification III in Emergency Response and Rescue or Certification III Fire Fighting.
  • Certification IV Health Care/Ambulance/Pre-Hospital Care or higher.
  • Heavy Rigid Driving Licence.
  • Ability to successfully manage time, set priorities, plan, communicate, and organize work deliverables in an emergency environment.
