Event Coordinator

 

Job Description:

The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing large-scale evangelistic events. These events aim to proclaim the Gospel in culturally appropriate and engaging ways, leading people to become Christians.

The role involves working with local leaders to manage all aspects of event planning, from concept development to post-event evaluation. This includes developing and implementing marketing strategies, securing sponsorships, managing budgets, and overseeing event logistics.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Planning:

Develop and implement effective event plans, working with local leaders to reach a particular target audience.

Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and transportation.

Coordinate with speakers, performers, and volunteers to ensure their availability and participation.

Oversee the creation of event materials such as invitations, programs, and promotional content.

 

2. Financial Management:

Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.

Secure and manage sponsorships and donations to support event funding.

3. Promotion and Marketing:

Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to increase event attendance and engagement.

Build and maintain relationships with churches and organizations to promote the events.

4. Event Execution:

Oversee event setup, including staging, decorations, and technical requirements.

Manage on-site operations during the event, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.

5. Post-Event Evaluation:

Collect and analyze feedback from participants, volunteers, and stakeholders to assess the success of the event.

Prepare and present post-event reports, including recommendations for future improvements.

6. Team Leadership:

Lead and motivate teams of volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.

Collaborate with volunteer teams to ensure alignment with event goals.

7. Risk Management:

Ensure that all events comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.

Develop and implement risk management strategies to address potential issues.

The successful execution of evangelistic events that lead people to become Christians.

The ability to work effectively with local leaders and volunteers to achieve shared goals.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Qualifications in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: Proven experience in leading events, managing budgets, and promoting activities.

Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Attributes: Passion for working with people, commitment to evangelistic outreach, and ability to inspire and engage leaders in evangelism.

 

Additional Requirements:

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Ability to travel for events and training sessions.
