**Role Overview**:
This is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity to lead our go-to-market for AI and data-driven solutions on Google Cloud. You'll partner closely with Google Cloud and our globally distributed team to develop and promote advanced AI and machine learning solutions. As our GCP champion, you'll spend 50% of your time hands-on consulting, creating impactful Proof of Concepts, and collaborating with clients to identify transformative business opportunities, design scalable solutions, and ensure technical excellence from discovery to deployment. The remaining 50% will be dedicated to engaging with the tech community, producing content to showcase GCP's capabilities, and fostering partnerships. Focused on customer success and innovation, you'll play a crucial role in solving complex problems and bringing data to life at Simple Machines.

**Requirements**:
**What you will need to bring**:

- GCP Proficiency: Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ideally holding a Professional Cloud Architect certification and other relevant certification.
- Consulting Mindset: Demonstrate a consulting mindset with a proven ability to solve complex problems effectively.
- Enterprise Experience: Background in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Consulting, or Presales within the enterprise sector.
- Pre & Post-Sales Expertise: Extensive experience in pre & post-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, competitive analysis, solution design and build, demos, and handling RFI/RFP processes.
- Client Engagement: Skilled in working with customers to deeply understand their business needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Full Lifecycle Involvement: Capability to work with clients from the discovery phase through to implementation, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Software Development Standards: Adhere to strong software development practices and standards to create robust and maintainable software.
- Hands-On Technologist: Be a hands-on technologist who goes beyond presenting PowerPoint slides, actively architecting and implementing enterprise ML & AI solutions for large organisations.

**Solutions Engineering**
- Client Problem Solving: Leverage our expertise in machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to help clients across various industries solve their most significant challenges.
- Proof of Concepts: Develop co-designed Proof of Concepts to demonstrate the tangible value of our solutions.
- Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business needs and identify opportunities to leverage ML and AI technologies effectively.
- Solution Design: Design and develop scalable ML and AI solutions tailored to meet specific client requirements.
- Data Pipelines and Workflows: Implement efficient data pipelines and workflows to enhance data processing and analysis.
- Automation: Automate data processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintain a strong focus on ensuring customer satisfaction and success throughout the project lifecycle.
- Multi-Project Management: Manage multiple opportunities in parallel, overseeing day-to-day activities such as opportunity qualification, technical discovery, presentations, platform and use case demonstrations, proof of value, sizing, and documentation of technical decision criteria.
- Pre & Post-Sales Management: Own and manage pre & post-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, competitive analysis, solution design and build, demos, and handling RFI/RFP processes.
