Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide tailored care and support to residents with dementia. The successful candidate will create a home away from home for our residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting their overall well-being.

This role requires a genuine passion for serving elderly people, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. As a Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering personal care services, including showering, grooming, and toileting, as well as providing life engagement activities and supporting residents with varying levels of dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality personal care services, prioritizing the dignity and comfort of each resident
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring the unique needs and preferences of each resident are met
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and optimal resident care
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Knowledge and experience working with individuals living with dementia, including understanding of best practice care approaches
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and residents
  • Ability to work flexibly, including a range of shifts, including nights and weekends
