The Role Overview

This is an opportunity to deliver person-centered care for residents and community clients. The Personal Care Assistant will assist customers with daily living needs, social engagement, and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Providing personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance.
  • Supporting residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
  • Facilitating engaging group and one-on-one activities tailored to customer interests and abilities.
  • Assisting with transport and mobility to and from activities if required.
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour to clinical staff.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and care/activity records.
  • Promoting dignity, independence, and respect in all interactions.
  • Collaborating with the care team, families, and allied health professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community) or equivalent qualification.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
  • Manual handling and infection control training.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including with people living with dementia.
  • Experience providing personal care in aged care, disability, or community settings.
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt activities to support physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity.

  • Attractive remuneration $34.11- $35.19 per hour, plus 12% superannuation.
