The Role OverviewThis is an opportunity to deliver person-centered care for residents and community clients. The Personal Care Assistant will assist customers with daily living needs, social engagement, and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Providing personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance.
- Supporting residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
- Facilitating engaging group and one-on-one activities tailored to customer interests and abilities.
- Assisting with transport and mobility to and from activities if required.
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour to clinical staff.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and care/activity records.
- Promoting dignity, independence, and respect in all interactions.
- Collaborating with the care team, families, and allied health professionals.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community) or equivalent qualification.
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
- Manual handling and infection control training.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including with people living with dementia.
- Experience providing personal care in aged care, disability, or community settings.
- Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt activities to support physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.
- Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
- Attractive remuneration $34.11- $35.19 per hour, plus 12% superannuation.
