Accounting Professional Wanted

Our organization seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage various financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and bookkeeping, with expertise in Xero and Astute Payroll.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and reconciliations
  • Prepare payroll and ensure superannuation compliance
  • Assist with Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and liaison with external accountants
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
  • Process and manage prepayments and accruals
  • Keep financial records organized and accurate
  • Support management with ad hoc financial queries and reporting
  • Handle payroll tax, superannuation submissions, and end-of-month adjustments
  • Manage the accounts inbox and ensure timely responses
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • Demonstrated experience as a bookkeeper or accounts officer
  • Solid working knowledge of Xero; experience with Astute Payroll is beneficial
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
