High Voltage Maintenance Specialist

Thiess is seeking an experienced High Voltage Maintenance Specialist for a permanent full-time position to join our project team at Sonoma Mine, located 10km south of Collinsville.
As our next high voltage maintenance specialist, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results. Your primary responsibility will be to perform the servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems documentation.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks on mobile mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, OEMs, and computer-based systems.
- Complete statutory testing and inspections on electrical infrastructure.
- A Queensland Electrical Fitter-Mechanic Trade Certificate with post-trade experience working in the mining industry, preferably with diesel electric haul trucks.
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007.
- Experience in high-voltage equipment maintenance.
- Statement of Attainment for HV Switching.
- Registered cabler would be an advantage.
- A 7/7 even time, lifestyle roster with 12-hour day and night shifts.
- An attendance bonus of $450 per fortnight.
- A retention payment of $10,000 paid over 52 weeks from July 2024, inclusive of super.
- Camp facilities provided, including BIBO from Townsville DIDO.
- Living out of camp allowance, if applicable.
- Salary sacrifice options – flights and novated leasing.
- A salary range of AUD $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
