Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Estimator to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and procurement strategies for large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed MEP cost estimates across all project stages.
  • They will analyse design documentation and specifications to ensure accuracy in cost modelling.
  • Our ideal candidate will have experience within consultancy environments, ideally with exposure to data centre or mission-critical projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage risks is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear, client-facing advice is required.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing detailed MEP cost estimates across all project stages.
  • Analysing design documentation and specifications to ensure accuracy in cost modelling.
  • Managing tender processes, assessing contractor pricing, and supporting negotiations.
  • Providing value engineering input and identifying cost efficiencies without compromising project outcomes.
  • Preparing financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and risk assessments for client review.
  • Liaising with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience in cost management and estimating software such as CostX or Candy is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is also required.
