Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and operation of a cutting-edge technology platform. The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain the platform's engineering foundations, ensuring its reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.

About the Opportunity

This is a unique chance to drive innovation and growth in a next-generation talent marketplace. As the Technology Platform Lead, you will be responsible for establishing engineering standards, growing and mentoring a team, and running guilds/communities of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define target architecture and non-functional requirements; publish reference implementations for teams to adopt.
  • Lead the engineering team and culture, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and showing by doing; run guilds, code reviews, and DevOps quality gates.
  • Develop golden paths and enablement strategies, including shipping reusable templates, CI/CD + IaC kits, and standards; drive adoption across squads.
  • Operate reliable, observable, cost-efficient foundations (K8s/APIs/events); own service level objectives (SLOs) and error budgets.
  • Maintain the integrated backlog with product and experience leads; sequence releases; manage vendors to SLAs with knowledge transfer.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture; 3+ years leading platform and solution delivery for multi-channel products.
  • Owned platform roadmaps/backlogs; shipped iterative platform capabilities linked to product outcomes/objectives.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, API gateways/service meshes, event streaming (e.g., Kafka), CI/CD & Terraform, and observability.
  • Embedded security/privacy and compliance by design; ran incident/change/problem practices; managed partners to SLAs with knowledge transfer.
Desirable Skills
  • Integration/eventing: Kafka (or equivalent).
  • IaC/CI-CD: Terraform; modern pipelines.
  • Security: IAM/OIDC, OAuth, secrets management, WAF; policy-as-code where appropriate.
