Job Title: Senior Engineering Leader - Payments Innovation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Leader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating innovative team cultures and driving engineering excellence.

As a Senior Engineering Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Engineering at our organization. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers designing and building payments systems and services, while remaining hands-on with the code.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a high-performing chapter by attracting top talent and supporting their career development through structured learning pathways.
• Create structured, recurring opportunities for engineers to learn, collaborate, and build capability especially in AI Powered Engineering.
• Set and monitor individual development plans focused across the Full Cycle Engineering Job Framework.
• Role model the use of Gen AI tooling, encourage experimentation, and remove fear or uncertainty around AI's impact.

Requirements:
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
• Passion for uplifting capability, driving engagement, and simplifying developer experience.
• Familiarity with Gen AI tooling, prompt engineering, and AI-enhanced development workflows.
• Ability to balance people, culture, and technology to deliver resilient systems and delightful customer experiences.

Technical Skills:
• Cloud: AWS, Serverless, Containers, and VM Hosting
• Databases: AWS Database technologies (Aurora, RDS, Redis), ElastiCache, Oracle
• Languages: Typescript or Java or Python
• Eventing: SQS, SNS, EventBridge, KAFKA (MKS)
• Engineering: Github, Github Actions, Terraform Enterprise, Artifactory, AKKA, SST
• Observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Observe, CloudWatch
• Security: Vault, Security Management, Parameter Store, AWS Certificate Manager, AWS Secrets Manager
