About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker at Edmen, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Assistance: Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Empowering Environment: Foster a supportive and empowering environment that encourages individuals to reach their full potential and participate in community activities.
  • Housekeeping and Meal Preparation: Assist clients in maintaining a clean and safe living space, including light housekeeping and meal preparation, to promote their overall well-being.
  • Community Access and Support: Support clients in accessing community resources, transportation, and social activities, helping them to build relationships and engage with their community.
  • Health and Safety: Administer medication and monitor health conditions, as directed by healthcare professionals, and ensure the well-being of clients and staff.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document and maintain accurate records of client progress, care plans, and any incidents, ensuring that all necessary information is up-to-date and readily available.
  • Cultural Sensitivity and Respect: Demonstrate sensitivity and respect for cultural diversity, personal preferences, and individual needs, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care and provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
