We are seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security Consultant who can drive a security-first approach within our technology teams. As a seasoned Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for setting a security architecture strategy with our Head of Security and providing technical security expertise to our tech teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dive deep into the company landscape to understand the current security posture and set a robust security architecture strategy
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to provide guidance on cloud technologies, agile methodologies, and application-layer security
  • Oversee technical solutions and ensure alignment with our Cyber Security policy, standards, and controls
  • Select and implement suitable security controls to mitigate digital cyber risk exposure
  • Contribute to architectural reviews for new and in-flight solutions, ensuring best practices in DevOps and cloud configuration

We require a professional with 8+ years of experience in technical design and architecture, particularly in configuring, operating, designing, and architecting security solutions for business initiatives. You should be well-versed in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers, Kubernetes, and related technologies.

A background in understanding application security, APIs, and software is desirable. Familiarity with frameworks such as SABSA, NIST 800-53, Open FAIR, or MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND is also beneficial. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of working with security engineering, DevSecOps, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation, and application development.

In this role, you will be empowered to deliver security outcomes in line with industry best practices and contribute to the upliftment of controls maturity while reducing cyber security risk. Our estimated salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
