Infrastructure Development Specialist

The role of a Project Engineer is pivotal in the success of a large-scale construction project. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all onsite technical matters, including construction verification works, scheduling, monitoring, planning, forecasting, resource allocation, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.
You will play a key role in coordinating efficient operation of a multi-discipline workforce, combining direct workforce, supplementary labor, and external subcontractors. This includes developing construction methodologies, programs, and SWMS for given packages, leading the delivery of stage 2 excavation, ground support, and FRP works, and overseeing the development and implementation of construction methods onsite.
Key responsibilities include daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and cost monitoring and reporting, procuring permanent materials/subcontracts, ensuring site engineers and subordinates are clear on their responsibilities, managing short/medium construction planning, coordinating and administering construction engineering activities, preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects, and monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Additionally, you will interact with clients to interpret their needs and requirements, cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants, review engineering deliverables, initiate corrective actions, and undertake the preparation of variations, quantities, and pricing.
This position requires strong leadership skills, decision making ability, time management and organization skills, and advanced commercial acumen including cost reduction and meeting budgets.
