Data Engineering Leader is responsible for driving cloud-first data engineering practices and developing a best-in-class data platform on Azure.

This involves architecting and evolving a modern data platform, designing robust data pipelines, and mentoring junior engineers across the enterprise.

Data Engineering Responsibilities

  • Lead Architecture: Develop a world-class data architecture built on Azure, incorporating lakehouse patterns, star/snowflake schema, and dimensional modelling.
  • Design Data Pipelines: Create modular, testable, and reusable data pipelines leveraging Azure data services, including Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Spark/PySpark.
  • Mentor Engineers: Provide technical oversight, guidance, and support to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data engineering or software development roles.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Azure data services, including Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Spark/PySpark.
  • Solid understanding of data architecture concepts, including lakehouse patterns, star/snowflake schema, and dimensional modelling.
