We are currently seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Cloud Data Architect responsible for designing and implementing data architecture, models, and standards for Data Integration & Data Warehouse projects in Azure.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Write SQL queries against Azure SQL Database / Synapse
  • Provide support for Azure SQL Database / Synapse issues such as data load, transformation, and translation problems
  • Integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Translate BI, Reporting, and Analytics requirements into database models and designs
  • Understand and automate data pipelines using cloud and on-premises technologies
  • Test and document implementations for clarity and ease of understanding
  • Collaborate with Data Architects, Product Managers, and Scrum Masters to deliver data solutions
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Microsoft Azure Data Engineer in Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, BI, and Analytics projects
  • Experience with at least one end-to-end Azure Cloud Data Warehouse implementation and two total data warehouse implementations
  • Expertise in data modelling, ELT with ADF, views, stored procedures, and DWH concepts
  • Experience with Azure cloud data platform components: Security, Monitoring, Databricks, Synapse, Blob Storage, Data Lake, Data Factory, Azure SQL, Analysis Services, Power BI
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL data stores, star and snowflake schemas, dimensional modelling
  • Experience with data security and access controls
  • Proficiency in RDBMS, complex SQL, performance tuning, troubleshooting
  • Experience with Power BI, DAX, report security, and data storytelling
  • Proactive problem resolution for data pipelines
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Ability to work with technical and business teams
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
