About the role:

Ampol's Data, Analytics & AI team harness our data to act faster, make better decisions, elevate our service to our customers and drive growth through improved operations and innovation

The Cloud Data Architect will lead the design and unification of our data platforms. You'll bring deep expertise in Azure services, Databricks or Snowflake, and a strong background in DataOps and CI/CD infrastructure.

You'lltake us further by:

• Architect and provide design patterns for scalable data platforms using Azure services.
• Design and optimize data pipelines using Databricks or Snowflake.
• Establish and enforce best practices for DataOps and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Integrate and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions for streamlined data operations.
• Design and implement scalable data platforms using Azure services, while establishing and enforcing best practices for DataOps and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business goals.
• Drive innovation in AI foundations and data engineering practices.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams to elevate technical capabilities.

We'dlove it if you have:

• Deep experience as a Data Cloud Architect, having previously worked in enterprise environment
• Proficiency in Databricks or Snowflake for data processing and analytics.
• Strong understanding of DataOps principles and CI/CD practices.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and automation of data workflows.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying enterprise-grade data platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
