Job Overview

As the Wharf Operations Supervisor, you will lead a team of transport team leaders and operators at Port Melbourne VIC. Your key responsibilities include coordinating deliveries, loading/unloading trucks, and supporting Transport Planners with driver daily workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain timely and accurate communication with customers, drivers, and management.
  • Oversee safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operations.
  • Accurate shipment processing in line with customer requirements and KPI timeframes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in team and individual performance using LEAN tools and CEVA principles.
  • Lead and participate in people development strategies, including talent management, performance review, and personal development plans.

Requirements:

  • Experience coaching, developing, and engaging an operational team.
  • Background in transport, warehousing, and logistics supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and influencing skills.
  • Problem-solving capability, commercial acumen, and numeracy skills.
