About This Opportunity

The Department of State Development is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Economic Insights and Data Analysis Team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of high-quality reports, analysis, and insights from externally sourced data and internally generated operational data.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of automated data-workflow processes and maintain accurate and current data reports that teams across the department utilise for the development of evidence-based strategic policy advice that aligns with government and department objectives.">
  • Develop clear and informative data reports using Power BI, Power Query, and Excel, adhering to organisational data governance framework policies.">
  • Synthesise, collate, and present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a diverse audience.">

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Proven technical skills in data management, data modelling, and analytics, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.">
  • A broad knowledge and understanding of national and South Australian economy including the major indicators that track economic and business growth, innovation, viability, and sustainability.">
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under broad direction, using strategic thinking, sound judgment, and political sensitivity.">

What We Offer
