Epworth Geelong is seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced social worker to provide comprehensive social work services on a casual basis.

The successful candidate will work in an energetic and cohesive clinical team that strives for excellence in patient care. The social work department offers a high level of clinical support and supervision, as well as a strong commitment to professional development activities and quality projects.

  • Undertake comprehensive psychosocial assessments and complex discharge planning
  • Strive for patient and family inclusive practice in all stages of care
  • Engage positively with all other colleagues to achieve best clinical outcomes
  • Supervise students
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • Extensive skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to their work
  • A minimum of three years of relevant social work experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or other healthcare setting
  • Clinical experience and/or knowledge in the area of brain injury and trauma rehabilitation would be highly regarded
  • Well-developed expertise in assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for a complex patient cohort
