Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various types of construction equipment, including cranes, EWP's, scissor lifts, forklifts, tele-handlers;
  • Read specifications or drawings to determine material requirements;
  • Connect columns, beams, and cold-roll items with bolts, following drawings and instructions from supervisors;
  • Lift steel beams, girders, or columns into place using cranes or signaling hoisting equipment operators;
  • Dismantle structures or equipment;
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and communicate maintenance needs with supervisors;
  • Apply dogging, rigging, and crane operation experience and knowledge to ensure safe lifting and movement of loads;
  • Undertake regular maintenance of crane and rigging equipment;
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as directed by management.

Salary

We offer an attractive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have prior experience in structural steel erection and be willing to work 5.5 days a week as required. The role involves working at heights, operating heavy machinery, and adhering to OH&S practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous structural steel erection experience is preferred;
  • A basic rigging ticket and EWP ticket are minimum requirements;
  • A working at heights ticket and white card are also necessary;
  • A reliable vehicle and driver's license are essential;
  • Adherence to OH&S practices is crucial.
